Sampoorn was formed and established in the year 2000 and registered in 2006 as a society (BLU-S29-2006-2007). Sampoorn is a society for Crafts & Crafts People is a NGO and a non-profit organization registered with Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, formed specially to encourage the Indian Heritage, Arts and Crafts from all over the country, especially the rural arts and crafts providing a platform to the artisans to showcase and promote the same.

Sampoorn is a voluntary,non-profit NGO,working in the crafts sector,for the promotion and development of crafts and the welfare of craftspersons.Sampoorn is involved in the areas of craft documentation, design and product development, marketing, training of craftspersons and upgradation of skills,tools and technology.
